The name ‘Hiraeth’ comes from the Welsh word meaning “a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, or for a home which may have never been.” That sense of longing captured in the word ‘Hiraeth’ echoes through every album we release.

At Hiraeth Records we release music from both veteran and emerging artists across a range of Vaporwave subgenres - from New Age and Cyberpunk Ambient to Barber Beats and Solarpunk. Artists such as 猫 シ Corp., t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者, Auragraph, 沙漠鱿鱼, desert sand feels warm at night, and Pizza Hotline have released at our label.

In the early 2020s, we noticed how tough it was for European fans to get their hands on vaporwave records without paying crazy shipping fees or dealing with customs. So we started bringing in small batches from other labels - just to help out. That quickly grew into something bigger. Now, alongside our own releases, we run a full EU distro stocked with titles from various labels.
