Lofi Doomer garage x dreampunk aesthetics

One of the first works from the CMD094 project, “Basement Trax“ is re-released on cassette through No Problema Tapes. “Basement Trax“ blends lo-fi garage music with dreampunk ambient sounds.

Each track is made from old damaged loops that were obtained while recording on cassette, in the spirit of William Basinski’s “The Disintegration Loops”. The building on the front cover is taken from a photo made by CMD094 in Donetsk, Ukraine.

CMD094 is an ambient producer, mastering engineer, and co-owner of Pure Life Records. In 2021, upon contracting COVID-19, CMD’s cerebral cortex became inflamed, damaging his auditory nerve and hearing. He proceeded to release his final album / EPs, ending the project indefinitely.
